Details:
rLoop, an international non-profit engineering team, was one of 30 teams selected by SpaceX to enter its Hyperloop competition. It was the only non-university team to enter; in fact, it formed on Reddit. The teams met for competition at SpaceX HQ on Jan. 29, 2017. Of the 30, only three teams were allowed to enter the depressurized test track. rLoop was not one of them, but the team did win competition's Pod Innovation Award. Another meeting at the SpaceX test track will occur this summer. Some of the teams are coming back.

Thomas Lambot is an aerospace engineer and served as rLoop's chief engineer. He will share lessons learned in doing globally distributed engineering, and how the pod finally came together in Menlo Park.
