The Internet of Things (IoT) is the internetworking of physical devices, including vehicles and drones, buildings embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data.

The Raspberry Pi start is a small, cheap single-board computer with a 40 pin header for reading and controlling sensors and actuators. It was originally developed for teaching but has become a powerful IoT prototyping tool. Raspberry Pi can run Raspbian (a Debian derivitive) or Windows and supported programing languages include C, Python, and Java.

This will be a three-part event:

1) Demonstration of Raspberry Pi

2) Discusison of IoT projects

3) Showcase of IoT startups

If you have an IoT project you'd like to demonstrate, and/or an startup for which you're looking for cofounders, please contact the organizers.

I added to the calendar already but didn't see it listed on the calendar.
